Mystery Dinner Theater

Before we went to visit my aunt and uncle in Florida, I had no idea what mystery dinner theater was. Growing up, I was always close with them, but since they moved away things had gotten kind of strained. I never realized before how many corny jokes my uncle makes, or how my aunt is always trying to get me to eat more even when I'm not hungry. Going on this vacation was an attempt by my parents to bring our family back together. It worked a lot better than I had expected.

If you've never been to a murder mystery dinner theatre, it will probably catch you by surprise. I know this one caught me. My aunt and uncle didn't even tell us we were going! We thought the mystery cafe dinner theater was just a normal café. We had no idea what was in store.

When we heard the first gunshot and the lights went out, we were in shock. When they came back on, however, I quickly figured out what was going on. I knew this was some kind of mystery dinner theater. I could tell by the reaction of the other restaurant patrons. None of them seemed surprised. On the contrary, they looked amused and entertained.

It was a long drawn out process, but basically mystery dinner theater is a whodunit for the audience. All kinds of clues are left about a supposed murder and it is up to the audience to figure out who the guilty party is. It was a great time. I loved seeing my uncle and aunt hard at work solving the mystery. They were supportive of me as well. I'm a little shy about participating in a crowd, but soon I got drawn into it. I was discussing the clues and making my best guesses with the rest of them. I even had some good ideas that brought us a step closer to solving the mystery. By the time the mystery dinner theater was over, we were all having a blast.

After that night, I started to see my aunt and uncle in a different way. I remembered how I had loved them when I was young. Seeing the way they handled themselves at the mystery dinner theater Orlando, I remembered how impressed I used to be with them, and how clever they had seemed when I was a child. I had been right about that – they were clever. The mystery dinner theater helped me see that.
