Finding Balloon Party Supplies

Much like adults, different kids have different tastes in everything.  Unlike adults, however, kids are often unable to be good sports about things, and can get really upset when they're not having a good time.  This is one of the oldest and most difficult obstacles to planning a successful party for your son or daughter.  Whether you have a traditional party where you stay at home and play  games, or you go out to play laser tag, video games, or one of the many other activities that kids like, someone will be unhappy.

There is, however, one thing that all kids like: balloons.  Balloons have been part of birthday parties for as long as I can remember, and probably for a good long time before that.  I was thinking about this the other day while trying to plan a birthday party for my seven year old, when suddenly I hit on the idea.  Why not make the balloons the theme of the birthday party?

I went out and immediately bought balloon party supplies.  I started off with traditional helium balloon supplies.  I bought balloons that you could turn into animals, balloons you could play catch with, and balloons that you could hold on to while they floated behind you.  There are more types of balloon party supplies than I would have ever thought.  Besides normal round balloons and skinny balloons, there are wavy balloons, curly balloons, and even squarish balloons.  Basically, there are balloon party supplies in almost any shape and size that you could imagine.  The possibilities are endless.

I really should have planned out how I was going to use the party supplies balloon a little more carefully before I went out and did my shopping.  As it was, I had tons of balloon party supplies in all shapes and sizes.  I had originally thought to set up some well-defined activities such as catch, balloon animal making, and “swimming” in a pool filled with balloons.  Once I had all the balloon party supplies, however, I opted for a different approach.  I kept it as simple as possible.  Basically, I blew up all the balloons and let the kids decide for themselves what they wanted to do with them.  Yes, it was very chaotic, but it was also a great party.  The kids had a load of fun!  Best of all, I still have half of the balloon party supplies left for next year's festival.
